Learn About RPM Meters

A RPM meter or Techometer is a device that measures the speed of a shaft of a rotation or disk. It is designed to measure the revolutions per minute (RPM) of an object as it moves. Other names for them can include revolution counters, rev counters, RPM gauges, or simply as a ‘tach.’

Why Use A Techometer for Cutting Concrete?

They help the operator find and select the most suitable setting for the conditions of the surfaces being cut. On each blade there is a Maximum RPM that is to be followed for the optimal performance of your blade and safety while cutting. For larger blades, you will want lower RPMs to help prevent your blade from overheating and manage the pressure being placed on your cutting machine.

A techometer can help to diagnose a lot of issues you may be having with your cut, your blade, and your equipment.

Techometer applications

Techometers can be used for a variety of applications across many industries, some of these include:

  • Automotives
  • Mechanical systems
  • Research
  • Laboratories, testing and measuring
  • Industrial operations
